Quarmby

Haughs Road and Quarmby Fold, QuarmbyQuarmby and Ballroyd CloughQuarmby is a small district of Huddersfield about two miles west of the town centre above Ballroyd Clough which leads into the Colne Valley.

Some of the early housing in the area was a hamlet at Quarmby Fold, but a wide variety of different styles of homes have been built over the years, filling gaps between the neighbouring districts of Paddock, Oakes and Salendine Nook. The area stretches along Quarmby Road at the top of the steep-sided Ballroyd Clough. At the opposite side of Ballroyd Clough is Longwood Tower and the village of Longwood.
