Brackenhall

Long Hill Road, BrackenhallRobin Hood Road, BrackenhallNorthfield HallBrackenhall is a mostly residential district about two miles north north east of Huddersfield town centre, to the east of the A641 Bradford Road and to the north west of Sheepridge, from which it extended.

The district first emerged from the building of a large council housing estate in the mid 20th century, but most of this has been demolished and replaced with modern housing. Part of the new estate became known to some as Ferndale.

Brackenhall is the home of the children's hospice in the Huddersfield area, the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice, at Russell House, in Fell Greave Road.
