Donation to The Kirkwood

At our meeting on Friday June 10, 2022, the Huddersfield Film Makers Club was pleased to present a cheque for £10,000 to local hospice charity The Kirkwood.

Members decided at the recent Annual General Meeting to make the charity donation from accumulated club funds from member subscriptions and organising annual shows at Huddersfield Town Hall over many years.

The money was presented to The Kirkwood’s community fundraiser Julia Owen and clinical services manager Sarah Peace who talked at the start of the meeting about the charity’s work supporting those affected by life-limiting illness.
